One Over Jordan

The biggest basketball argument is debating who is the GOAT (Greatest of All Time). Most common fans say that it’s between LeBron James and Michael Jordan. It is obvious they forget the real GOAT, though.
As of right now, LeBron is not even in my top 3; to me he’s fourth. I think that by the time LeBron’s career is over, the highest he will get on my list is #3. I simply don’t believe one can be called the GOAT of a sport when at the highest level of the game, the NBA Finals, he has a losing record. The object of the game is to play to win, and he has been to the finals multiple times, only winning a few. To put it plain, his record on that stage is 3-6. Now if you look at all the other players mentioned in the GOAT discussion, they all have winning finals records.
My GOAT is Kobe [Bryant]. He was able to do everything on the basketball court! It’s a shame that he only has one MVP award to his name but I think everyone would argue he should have more. Kobe Bryant is the greatest scorer ever, too. Let’s not forget that he was elite, defensively. In fact, Kobe has the most All-NBA Defensive Team accolades to pair with the most skill on offense that I have ever seen from a player.
From the footwork to the shot making ability, Kobe did it all on the floor! He got all of the potential out of his body that he could. He had the mentality to win at all costs, and his work ethic is unmatched. Kobe worked the hardest out of anyone I have ever seen...EVER! And above all else, Kobe is a winner. With five championships, one less than Michael Jordan, he is the only true and fair comparison to his idol.

In order, my Top 5 All-Time is:

Kobe Bryant

Michael Jordan

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

LeBron James

Shaquille O’Neal
